I just had a baby almost 2weeks ago. How long will it take for the swelling in my feet&hands too really go dow

How long do it take for the swelling to go down. do it take a month or longer? With my first child I was wearing a 7 after i had him i went too a size 71/2. now i just had another baby and I can't fit my 71/2 so i bought size 8 shoes and i still can't fit them. what can i do for my foot to really go down?

If you just drink more water it will actually help reduce all that swelling faster. You'll notice pretty soon even if you don't drink more water you'll start peeing a lot and that's when all that swelling will go down! It's a weird thing. Good luck! Put your feet up every so often.
Reply:I'm so sorry, I know it stinks. Mine took about 4 - 6 weeks to go all the way down. Until then I just wore flip flops. I have a pair that have a buckle across the top so I loosened that and they felt better. Good luck and hang in there. When you are home, don't wear any shoes and try to elevate your feet above your heart, that will help dispurse the swelling.
Reply:lol i had a baby 6 weeks ago and the swelling still hasnt gone down i bought an 8 and a half and they dont fit the only shoes that fit are my crocs ugly as they may be they are the most comfortable shoes ive ever worn and they stretch with your feet so if you cant find a pair of shoes that fit buy a pair of crocs
Reply:It took about 6 weeks for my swelling to finally go completely down. My feet "grew" with my daughter from an 8 to a 9, and didn't change postpartum. With my son my feet swelled, but it returned to a 9 after about 6 weeks.
Reply:My swelling went down almost immediately (and it was really bad!). While the shoes I bought for the end of my pregnancy were too big, my feet never went back to the same size.
Reply:The swelling went down in my feet about 6 weeks later. Although I still wear a bigger size than before I was pregnant. Try to keep your feet elevated, this will help the swelling.
Reply:Drink lots of water and keep your feet elevated. Try staying off of them as much as possible and hopefully this helps you. I know it did me :)
