Baby clothes with british or union jack flag?

My sister is about to have a baby. She's from the US and her husband is from England. They live here in the states. I thought it would be so cute to find some piece of baby clothes with the british flag or the Union Jack. BUT I don't just want some lame tshirt or onsie with the flag printed on the front. Something more like a hoodie that is made of the flag or shoes with the print all over them. Can you help me find this? I've looked online a lot but maybe I'm just not looking in the right places. Thanks!

I'm trying to find some cute pink platform shoes! - Please help!?

Hello ^-^

I wanna find some shoes like these:

http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thumbvi...

Doesn't have to be open toed (infact i'd preffer they weren't) but they HAVE to be from a UK site. =(

Please help me, I've searched google god knows howmany times, perhaps I'm just a lousy shoe shopper %26gt;.%26lt;

I'm trying to find some cute pink platform shoes! - Please help!?
If they have to be from a UK site I assume you want to avoid the extra shipping fees because I found some on this US site that will ship to the UK.

http://darksideenterprises.com/catalog/p...

I found these as well.

http://www.dimoutshoes.com/dohihepu.html

Same item in UK

http://www.demonicarts.co.uk/Pleaser_Dol...

The first one would be your only open toed option, but at least you now know that Pleaser makes those Dolly-50 in baby pink in closed toe form.

Hope I've made your day. :-)
Reply:Umm.. i have never seen those shoes in real life but honestly the look like halloween shoes or something... Alot of stores carry pumps or platforms (the same thing but lower and not as much of a heel) ... le chateau carries them, or stores like that... I think that would look much better..
Reply:Don't take offense but those are most likely exotic dancer shoes. Which is totally fine! A lot of those girls have some hot shoes!

www.snaz75.com has a lot of really nice shoes for a good price. They take a bit longer to ship but they make up for that in price.

How big are baby Trumpette socks?

My baby is 8 months old, a size 18 months in clothing, and a size 5 in shoes. I'm ordering online, they don't have a size chart, and I don't want to buy him socks that are either way too small or way too big.

Should I buy him Trumpette baby or toddler socks?

How big are baby Trumpette socks?
I would suggest toddler size 1-2

If they are too big you can wash them in hot water and they will shrink a bit. On the other hand if they are small be careful not to wash them in hot water and remember that they will expand through wearing.
Reply:I think u should buy toddler socks dont feel bad it seems like u have a healthy baby

How many pieces of clothing ur baby have at any given time or any one season?

say for a baby girl of 1 year old? skirts, dresses, jeans, pants, tops also accessorize, shoes etc

also plz tell me, at wt age can i expect that she can wear her clothes for longer.

How many pieces of clothing ur baby have at any given time or any one season?
dont ask me cos ill say as much as u can cram in her cupboards!, lol

mines got around 12 bodysuits, 5 pairs of different coloured jeans, 6pairs of shorts, around 12 dresses, 10 tshirts, 6 pairs og leggings, 5 skirts or more,

and i keep buying more and more and more,,, its so addictive, xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Reply:my son is 20 months old and i tend to over buy with his clothes, he outgrows some of them before he wears them. Currently he has about 25 pieces of clothing in his closet per season. I can not give you a growth spurt with your child as all children grow at different times...My child is still growing rapidly so it is not at 20 month old in my case.
Reply:They all grow at different rates, so there is no telling when you will have a lull.

My tip to clothes is that I do not want to have more than I want to wash! The more the child has, the larger your laundry pile will be!

I hope this is a good description for u guys : ) please HELP!!!

Oh and maybe some suggestions on a purse also... : )

What shoes should I wear with this purple shirt???Need Fashion HELP!!!?
I would try wearing silver metallic flats! Or try wearing shiny black/shiny silver flats!

BTW the outfit sounds CUTE! =)
Reply:blue jeans pant ..
Reply:grey flats and a grey purse there u go...and no the discreption wasn't good for us
Reply:for shoes just wear plain old flip flops. if not allowed, wear flats. heels would be over the top.

also i recommend that you wear your best outfit on day 2 of school, because everyone else wears theirs on the first, so you'll stand out.

dress comfortably though, because after summer break, a full day of school will probably wipe you out.

what ever purse you think is good works. i have no idea which purses you have.
Reply:not nec. this color...but aim towards something in one color and simple. dont go too over the top, you're outfit will pull it all off.

What are john clettas? What are baby mays??

The reason this is in the hip hop section is because I've heard Camron call out the John Cletta sandals and I'm curious as to wtf they are. And what are the shoes soldier boy is saying when he says "I got me some baby mays"??

What are john clettas? What are baby mays??
He says I got some bathing apes!!!! He even has a song called I Got Me Some Bathing Apes....And the shoes are the ones he is wearing in the Crank Dat Superman video...

As for the John Cletta's....its funny because he is actually saying chancletas, which are cheap Mexican flip-flops...you are not supposed to wear them with jeans and no socks...

Hope this helps...John Cletta's and Baby May's....Priceless...
Reply:they are open toed sandel

and they are bathing apes
Reply:he says chancletas and thats the spanish word for sandals but a lot of people just mistake the accent for john clettas and yeah its bathing apes not baby mays

I want to buy my babies some clothes from BabiesRUs, are Miniwear, Carter's, Gerber & Koala Baby good brands?

I want to buy my babies some clothes from BabiesRUs, are Miniwear, Carter's, Gerber %26amp; Koala Baby good brands? My twins are small in weight, but long babies. I heard that Gerber tends to run abit short, %26amp; that Carter's has good length. What about Miniwear %26amp; Koala Baby clothes that are the BabiesRUs Brand? I have newborn clothes from Carter's that I bought at the NEX, but not much more than that. I wanted to get some things for the girls to wear when thier daddy gets back from Iraq in June. They will both be 3 months at that time, %26amp; I was going to get a few cute summer outfits to choose from in order to greet thier daddy at the pier. I want things that hold up well though, not too much shrinking, are long enough %26amp; true to size. All the Carter's newborn stuff has been great, but I saw that BabiesRUs Miniwear is cute too, they have little sundress outfits that run about $15 each set. Has shoes, little pants, ect.Really cute.Anybody's opinions %26amp; expierance on this brands is appreciated

I want to buy my babies some clothes from BabiesRUs, are Miniwear, Carter's, Gerber %26amp; Koala Baby good brands?
i shop at babiesrus (not exclusively). we liked carters a lot at first, and still do, but found other brands we like more like Zutano and Gymboree. We aren't stuck on namebrand but when it comes to baby clothes, you can tell the difference between cute and good quality and cheap and ugly. I personally like Koala, they have some really cute stuff. We've bought a few of their outfits and we have this white knit sweater we bought for 0-3 and thank goodness at still fits at nearly 6mos because we love it so much! As for miniwear... we don't like it very much. their cute items are few and far between and they have a lot of ugly items. We don't like gerber because they do run small. Shopping at the NEX/BX is fine and all but we've stopped shopping their because there is better selection elsewhere and better prices a lot of the time. Seriously, try EBAY! I LOVE IT! A lot... we've found tons of awesome stuff on there. We got a Zutano outfit for $8 a Harajuku outfit for $30 and a Gymboree outfit for $17 and Carters PJ's for $3. Lots of it is new with tags, gently used or new with out tags or washed and worn hardly at all or not at all.

BTW babies r us is having a sale- buy one carter's get one half off.
Reply:i like carter's, they have cute design. My child is a son so it's hard to pick style for him. Carter has all the cute style. Walmart sell cheaper compare to babiesrus. If you have carter outlet, go there. It's way cheaper too. Today I went to walmart, I got my son couple of clothes, socks, mitten and hat. Cheap because they're on sale and very cute.
Reply:I also do not like Gerber and Koala Baby b/c my son grows out of them before he wears them more than twice. He fits in the Carter's longer and I have found them to be a better quality %26amp; thicker.
Reply:I love carters. They run true to size and are very good quality. The same goes for Koala baby. I have never bought any clothes in that brand that i wasnt happy with and their outfits are so cute. I personally do not care to much for gerber clothes. They tend to run small and shrink and the fabric thins out after a few washes. I hve no experience with mini wear brand. I also like old navy baby clothes. They have really cute baby girl stuff and are affordable. A tip for making your baby clothes fit better is to wash them in warm water and hang them to dry or dry on low heat.
Reply:Like everyone else, I really like Carters line. My daughter is almost 7 months, average size and she cal still wear her 3 month clothes. They're sturdy and wash great.

I also really like Old Navys clothes. They have cute sun dresses right now, but are a little on the pricey side.
Reply:I have always had good luck with babies r us clothes %26amp; with Targets brands, also have had good luck with JCPenney's okie dokie seperates %26amp; old Navy. All are not too expensive but cute %26amp; held up just fine.
Reply:I love Carters...Gerber is AWFUL.

I like the baby clothes from Old Navy, they fit well, and Koala Baby I do like the few outfits I have of theirs.

Bon BeBe is good...but I cannot stress how much I like Old Navy...they are good priced and they have a big selection online with $5 flat shipping.
Reply:I am actually in mad love with the Zutano clothing line. Babycenter.com and if you google you can find it other places.

But all those brands are good, I like the Carter's the best out of the whole list. They don't look 'worn out' as fast as the others.
Reply:Gerber onsies do tend to be on the shorter side, as with Carter's they are longer. Those other brands are good too. We have all brands in our home.
Reply:Carter's is my favorite, my son is very um, stocky, and that brand has always fit him well. Gerber is about one size smaller than it says, compared with other brands. Koala Baby is very cute, and the same quality/make as Carter's.
Reply:Loooooooove Carter's. The cotton is of fantastic quality, the styles are cute, they don't shrink in the wash and they have the best PJs. Hated Gerber. Poor quality cotton and sizes were way too small. I love The Gap stuff, specially all the sales items that come in real cheap.
Reply:Those are all good brands. To see if they fit, you could try bringing some clothing that actually fits them well, and compare.

Personally, I never shopped at BabiesRUs, but find many Carter's and other excellent clothing at WalMart and GoodWill (costs far less, so my boys got more--and, babies grow VERY fast). My boys were, and still are, quite large for their ages, so finding clothing that fit well was always a trick.

What shoes do I wear with my sweater dress?

I have bought a black, v-neck, ''baby-doll'' style sweater dress which comes just above the knee. I am 5'3'' and a larger size 10 (size 12 is def. too big on me but 10 can sometimes be too fitting depending on where I buy from). Basically, I do not know what to wear with it as I don't want to look frumpy or short but at the same time, I want to wear shoes/boots that would look right with the dress. Should I wear boots, flats, stillettos...or what? What style? Advice on colors? Help!

What shoes do I wear with my sweater dress?
i'd say depending on what the occassion for the dress you can wear any of the above mentioned... if you 'stand' tall you'll look assured and confident!!! LOVE YOURSELF!
Reply:Definately chunky black knee length boots............ they've got some nice ones in Marks's!
Reply:i agree with sunshine, cept wear a really bold colour leggins, and black boots, and wear a belt that matches the leggins...my friend wore something along those lines and she looked killer!
Reply:They say balck leggings and boots over the top are very in at the momment.
Reply:I think i would put it with black knee length boots,
Reply:I'd go with a nice pair of 3" sling backs.
Reply:i would automatically tell you to wear a bold colour stilleto or ballerina pumps in leopard or poka dot print... dont go with the knee high boot look. itll make you look shorter and stumpy. ankle boots only look good if uve got thin calves so if you do wear those (fashion must-have of fall) but if not no worries, pumps and stilletos match too... in bold colours so you can clash with the black... i would say purple or green r YELLOW... yh girl...xxx
Reply:i would say kitten heals in silver or a bold color.

kitten heals are like flats but with the tinyiest of heals to give a bit of hight. silver looks nice with black and other accessories or a bold color would make your feet stand out. just match your shoes to your accessories and anything will go. just don't choose black shoes. you will look like you are going to a funeral.
Reply:high heels in any color. basically anything could go with black.
Reply:black shoes high heels or tennes shoes cloges are best but other colores such as navy blue, dark red, good luck
Reply:depending on the look you want....for a sexy look...wear a stiletto...red with red accessories (belt, earrings, bracelets)

for a sexy chic look.... black or two colored mary janes with simple accessories.........

Chic casual......Tall stiletto boots ....that is slimming at the calves; with a short jacket .........boots are ok but to get a nice slimming look I would go with the stilettos

Please stay away from angle boots and sneakers.....
Reply:black or silver heels with straps...with a white mini under your sweater vest! even if you cant see it, knowing that its there makes you feel hot.
Reply:I would recommend a 4" black pump or go with a knee high boot still with the heel it will help to accent your curves very nicely.
Reply:Rounded toe stilletos

strappy heels! so cute! and they'll help keep your toesies cool :)

regular pumps are always a good option, but they might be too much for an august wedding

flats might be hard to match with this dress but will be a good alternative to heels

Good Baby Girl outfit for wedding?

my baby is due right before my sistrers wedding, so this might b a big chance to show her off to family and friends anyways is this a cute outfirt for a baby girl. a cute pink ruffled dress from wal mart with white tights and pink dress shoes with a pink head band with a bow on it?

Good Baby Girl outfit for wedding?
Sounds really cute, except as a matter of my own personal taste, I don't care for those baby head bands. I think they look a little wierd and take away from all the natural baby cuteness. The pink ruffled dress is classic though, and perfect for the occasion.
Reply:that sounds cute but most headbands are to tight for nb to wear. my little girl still cant war them. check out no slippy hair clippy
Reply:It sounds great, but I agree with the head band comment, I don't like them either. And with newborns the shoes are more trouble than their worth. Remember that although everyone will be excited to see your beautiful girl, it is your sister's wedding and you don't want to take away from her day.
Reply:yes i agree with them to do away with the headband and shoes. She is still young and i need they would rather look cuter in socks and there tiny feet. I rarely see that small baby wearing shoes.. and like some said, it's your sister's wedding so it's not right to outshine her.. im afraid the baby might be the center of attention which isn't right. However i love it when babies were white cotton type of clothing. they look so natural and angelic bec white symbolize purity and that is what your baby is, an angel.
Reply:it sounds absolutely adorable. very good choice for a spring or summer ensemble.

is the wedding a family wedding where lots of other small children will be attending? I only ask because a lot of people are uncomfortable with babies at their weddings. I'm sure that won't be a problem and you've already discussed it with your sister, but it might come up.
Reply:babies are so cute u could put her in a potatoe sack.

but ur outfit sounds cute any cute dress especially with tights will be cute.
Reply:i like the potatoe sack idea lol! but yeah sounds cute!

Reply:pick the person above me her shoes are killer!!!
Reply:i really like your dress first of all! its really unique!!

ok so i helped both of my cousins pick their dress and shoes (im reallllllly good at it)

and i definately would do something simple. ok and if you want comfort do a low heel, and leave a little room in the shoe so you can put some gel things in them. i would also do a colored shoe, but only if your colors are light or pastel. OH and something that is important is that if you get shoes that have a high heel and arnt the most comfy, wear them to the wedding but for the reception buy some cute flats so you can stand or dance.

These are super chic and sexy and very elegant:

I love them together. By the way your dress is so gorgeous.
Reply:with this style dress it wouldnt matter since they wouldnt be seen under that dress...

i say wear your chck norris's
Reply:You shouldn't be worried about naked baby pics. You were a baby. I'm not bothered in the least if someone sees a picture of me as a baby in the bath. I used to run around naked on the beach!

Anyway, back to your question, I've no idea what Chuck Norris shoes are, but I think your dress is beautiful. I think you should look for some heeled (not too high) white shoes. If you're not comfortable in them all day, change them for flat white ballerina pumps. That's what I'm doing.
Reply:do you mean chuck taylors?
Reply:I think ballerina slippers would look fabulous with this gown too. It is very beautiful.
Reply:I dont know but I LOVE that dress.. So jealous!
Reply:If you are looking for comfy wear ballerina flats if height isn't an issue.

Baby Boots...?

My son is 20 months old, he wears size 4 shoes, well the shoes he has now are 3, but I think he's gonna need size 4. I can't find any winter boots in his size. The smallest I can find are size 5. I've found girl's boots but none for boys. I've tried, wal-mart, k-mart, old navy, gap, and payless. Has anyone found baby winter boots anywhere? I really don't want to order them online, my son is kinda hard to fit.

Baby Boots...?
You can usually get cheap shoes on ebay.com. I'd try there. Buy a few sizes then if one doesn't fit you can just relist it and make back what you paid for them. Good luck!

I order all of our shoes on these websites now. Try the Ummi's for kids, they are great shoes!
Reply:if you have to order them online, try lands end. Also try their overstocks first, lots cheaper. Or see your near a lands end inlet or your sears carries them. Keep in mind, you can always go up a size with warm socks. Plus feet totally go thru growth spurts. Our son at 20 months went up 2 sizes in 4 months over the summer.

http://www.landsend.com/ix/boys-clothing...
Reply:Sorry I don't know the answer to your question. I just wanted to say those are crazy small feet for a 20 month old. My son is 14 months and he wears a size 7(which is big)
Reply:buy them big, they won't fit for long anyway.
Reply:If you mean snow boots? go for the size 5 as they are so padded and they come up smaller anyway. My youngest is a size 5 and we have size 7 snowboot thats just fine. If you get really stuck, buy a pair of baby gap sport socks, the kind with the non-slip lettering on the sole. That will increase his foot size by 1 size.
Reply:while the little baby boots are cute if he's not actually going to be walking outside in the snow he doesn't need them. If you're just trying to keep his feet warm buy thicker socks or double up on them and buy a bigger shoe. And then when spring is here and he only needs one pair of socks they will still fit.
Reply:Maybe you should try somewhere that sells only shoes. You could buy a larger size for they outgrow them so fast.
Reply:try target, usually payless has them if you find some in one payless and you dont want to keep going from on to the next you can ask the cashier and she can tell you if any of the paylesses in your area have them in his size. All of there computers are linked to gether so they can pull up if the other stores have them. I hope this helps

What color socks %26amp; shoes with a formal infant dress?
She's going to look so pretty in her dress no one will even notice her feet :-) Little girls always look cute in the shiny patent leather dress shoes. I would go w/those and just some neutral colored socks.
Reply:Don't drive yourself crazy trying to find the perfect color shoes and socks. keep it simple with white shoes and white socks. she will look so adorable.
Reply:try tan or teal. they will look really cute and keep her toes warm. if you can't find any socks that go good try tights.

Maybe to young for shoes or what ideas do ya'll have. Don't know what its going to be boy or a girl. She didn't want to know. So this makes it even harder although my mother thinks it'll be a girl and she usually never wrong, but the docs thinks it'll be a boy, and they usually never wrong.lol so can ya'l give any ideas. I'm thinking of something purple cause my sis luvs purple. Oh before I forget where can I buy it too?

What should baby wear for taking him out of hospital?
This questions answer REALLY depends on the weather. The best advice I was given about dressing my baby was to put them in the same amount of clothes I was wearing to be comfortable and then add one layer.

If it is warm or HOT - just a diaper and a one peice undershirt is good. I would suggest a bonnet (hat) to keep the sun off, and a recieving blanket. Babies can't wear sunscreen and they burn quite easily!

If it is COLD - A one peice undershirt, and a sleeper is a good way to go! They are warm and cozy. Make sure they have feet so babies toes don't get cold. A hat and a warm coat or snowsuit are good too!

If it is cool or warm, but not hot or cold - a one peice undershirt, and a light sleeper. Plus a hat and jacket.

I would suggest looking for newborn sized stuff. Don't forget a hat! And mitts, no matter what time of year you can get special mitts to be sure baby doesn't scratch his/her face :) this is important and often forgotten.

For colors, white and yellow are pretty good safe colors for a boy or girl. If you go with purple people might make the automatic assumption that the baby is a girl.

Pink and purple for girls, blue and green for boys, yellow and white are nutral.

I would suggest the closestdepartment store! They will also have a sales clerk spacific to the baby section who can help you to choose :)

Good luck, I am sure your sister will appreciate anything you get :)
Reply:It depends on the weather but you can't go wrong with an all-in-one suit - the things that have poppers on the legs and tummy. They keep the baby warm specially since hospitals are always very warm.

A hat is also good for cooler temperatures as you lose a lot of heat through not wearing a hat.

Little jackets and suits in the NEWBORN section will be ideal as they are designed with newborns in mind and some of them are just so darn cute.

A cute, soft, fluffy blanket to wrap the baby in is an idea, specially one that fits in with the carseats colour scheme
Reply:all u really need for a newborn baby is a sleeper its to young to wear shoes all u need is a sleeper and for that size u look for newborn nothing bigger than that size. a baby cap, and baby socks n blankets of course but that all u really need
Reply:aww.. that is nice of you!! you can go to babies r us.. they have a lot of cute clothes for newborns.. since your sis doesn't know what sex the baby will be, try getting a neutral color that could be for both boy or girl.. yellows, beige, greens, whites... but you need, undershirt.. socks, a little beanie, a little blanket and the outfit that he/she will wear.. hospital provides the pampers.. so she should have enough for at least 1 day.. good luck!
Reply:Something to collect the poop!
Reply:well fist if you tell her your not gonna buy it someone else is and its gonna blow up in your face. think she is just gonna go with nothin? You can pick something that a boy or girl can wear like yellow or green. If you do purple that is kinda girly. I would just get an outfit, maybe LIGHT WEIGHT shoes and socks but nothin over the top. The baby is brand new and doesn't need to be smothered besides it is summer. You can go to any clothing store.
Reply:Depends on the weather outside. I would guess an all in one vest, an all in one sleepsuit, a wool cardigan if its chilly outside as well as a thin hat for baby's head. A light blanket to cover the baby if it gets chilly. If you don't know if its going to be a boy or girl, stick to neutral colours such as white, cream, yellow or green which both sexes can wear.

If its very cold, then the baby will probably need a coat of some description and a blanket to go over them.

I'm sure the store staff will be able to advise you... but if your sister doesn't know how to dress her baby, it worries me that she really doesn't know how to care for her baby properly and may need to get some professional support.
Reply:you should get a sleeper the kind that zips up or buttons up with the feet in newborns shouldn't be dressed in loud colors because they could get a rash from the dyes in clothing try white or something soft like light blue green or yellow since you don't know the sex those colors are neutral you can buy baby clothes at the Mall Wal mart

Reply:OK- the hospital will have diapers so you need to go to any store that sells baby clothes IE gap kids and buy size 0-3 months anything you think is cute. They make "onsie" outfits all you do is put the baby in and button. So get something with feet attached or socks and a small blanket to match and she should be happy. The most important thing would be to wash the clothes first!! If there is no time for washing don't put baby in strait from the store clothes because of the chemicals. CONGRATULATIONS!!! you sound like a great uncle! ( if you buy purple it will be a boy! Go with yellow or green but I would go with white.) Gap kids Carters even tj max.
Reply:I would buy a oonesie and prolly something that its gonna be warm in because when babys are first born they try to keep them warm because they were in the mothers womb for a long time, and its really neat i guess, I brought my son home in a oneis and a pair of socks but i had him in July of 2005
Reply:One thing for sure is a baby seat for the car. I've had six children(The oldest turns 18 today) and we always had to have a car seat. Other than that a sleeper with a hood, a receiving blanket, and a t-shirt. Buy whites and yellows. Those colors are neutral (plus they hide baby's spit-up)
Reply:Ask your mother if she has the outfit either you or your sister wore home from the hospital, or some other outfit you or your sister wore as an infant. Then someday you can tell the child how special the outfit was.
Reply:We've gone through this several times ourselves, along with family. Keeping in mind that everyone will be a bit different, let me share some thoughts.

There are two pieces to this - the practical and the memories. From a practical point of view, never choose shoes. Infant socks in a neutral color always works. Along with the t shirt that you mentioned, a nice receiving blanket is a must. Wrapping the baby in it holds in warmth, and makes sure that limbs don't dangle or get exposed. Finding one with some theme usually overcomes the boy vs. girl problem. Something that the mom likes, such as Pooh or a Disney character works well.

Now the 'memories' side. It never fails that the new parents want something cute to dress the baby in. A ton of pictures will be taken, and so you usually look for something sold specifically as an outfit. I would suggest waiting until the baby is born for this, and buying something within hours of finding out if it is a boy or girl.

Pick an outfit with a relatively lightweight top and matching bottoms. Finding one with a hat is almost always a big hit. It isn't really for helping hold in warmth as we enter the warmer months, but it seems to be the piece of clothing that eveyone falls in love with from a 'cute' point of view. You will probably even find that, depending upon the hat, the only time that they will put it on the baby is for pictures.

Hope this helps. Best of luck, and may God bless this precious little life.

Is my baby cousin of 15 months old smarter than average?

I never had any other baby nephew/neice before, and I think she's really smart, but I don't have anyone to compare with, so could you tell me a bit info? Here's my info about her.

She can't talk yet apart for a few words ('Aunt, mother, father, brother' in Chinese)

She can easily understand most of what we say to her.

She often teases us or her little brother (who's just 1 minute younger btw)

Examples: When her little brother has some toy which she wants, and he doesn't want to give it to her, she gets other toys and give them to him to trade!

There are things of which she knows she isn't allowed to do of us, then she often teases us by almost doing it slowly! (Like she isn't allowed to pick up shoes or something because they're dirty, so she goes to a shoe and sits and slowly reaches out for the shoe, looking at us with a cute and evil smile!)

When she just did 'number two', she gets a diaper by herself, lays down and gives the diaper to us!

Please tell me, I'm curious :P

Is my baby cousin of 15 months old smarter than average?
she sounds like an average 15 month old.

she'd be above average smart if she could sing her abc's, tell you all the colors of a rainbow and spell her name.
Reply:your pants are on fire

edit: ok people I read the part that said she can't talk yet except 'Aunt, mother, father, brother' in Chinese and I thought it was a made up question but I guess he could be Chinese! sorry =)
Reply:It's awesome that you are so proud of your cousin! It sounds to me like she is doing everything right on time!
Reply:I think you are a very proud uncle and your niece might be doing some things ahead of time but is basically doing great!
Reply:Sounds pretty average. My older talked before she was one year old and walked at 10 months. My older child didn't talk much before three and didn't walk until 13 months but neither of them are smarter than the other now. They both did the teasing and getting into trouble with a smirk on their face.

Tall babies! what size does you baby boy wears at 7 months?

My husband, his side of the family and my side are very tall people. 6'4" and above. I'm wondering how tall will my baby boy be at 7 months of age. He's only 4 months and already wears 6-9 pants, 6-12 tops, #3 shoes. He's 27" tall and 16 lbs at the moment. If your family is as tall as mine will you tell me how told is/was your baby at 7 months? ( I know that all babies are different, I'm just trying to get an idea as I'm buying him some clothing for this spring/summer).

Tall babies! what size does you baby boy wears at 7 months?
My daughter was nearly 27" and over 16 lbs at 4 month appt. (I am 5'11")

She is in #3 shoes, and either 6-9 or 12 mo clothes.

Carter's is best for size.

Gerber clothes suck!...I bought some 12mo onesies and too small! She is 5 mo!!

I would get 18 months for summer....too big isn't bad...

Isn't it sad to see them grow so fast???
Reply:Well at birth he wore premmie clothes...6 lbs 1 oz 19 inches...

at 2 months he was in 3-6 month clothes at about 4 months he was in 6-9 month pants and shirts...but at 6 months he was in 12 month shirts and some 6-9 and 12 month pants...he has the length..just not the waist...He is now 11 months old and still wearing 9-12 month pants...but all 12 month shirts...He is about 24-25 lbs and about 30-31 inches...give or take a lil bit...He has a small waist line like I do...but he has his daddy's height and weight...So we will see how things go...

Oh and shoe size is now a size 4 and its a nike..so you can compare brands...

I agree with the other poster...the clothes depend on the brand..like dollar store brands..run smaller...like I have 1 18 month outfit that fits my son perfect..and at 6 months old he was in a full 12 month outfit...

Oh and another thing..He is also in all 12 month jammies from wal-mart...he is too tall for the sleepers..so we moved him to big boy clothes..he no longer wears onsies..it makes his belly hang over his pants and leave mark...
Reply:well if he is 6-9 months now i would figure 9-12 months, but remember when you buy shorts and sets they will be a little bigger than the size. my 9 month old sun wore 0-3 shorts for a while but still wore a 6-9 top. tops i would buy 18 months if he is already in 12 months. good luck.
Reply:That sounds just like my daughter she is 9 months old and is in 2t shirts and 18 month pants. She is 25 lbs and 30 inches long. At 7 months she was around 28 inches and in 18 months clothes. She still wears a 3 wide shoe. At 3 months she was in 6-9 month clothes. She is very tall and wide
Reply:my fiance's side of the family is stalky %26amp; tall %26amp; my side is just tall .. so who knows how tall he'll be!

but right now at 7 months, my son is in 6mnth pants, 6-9mnth %26amp; 12mnth shirts, size 3 shoes (just a thought to throw out there, i've read that it isnt good to put a baby in shoes at such a young age, because they are growing constantly %26amp; when they have shoes on its prohibits growth, socks are a better choice at this age! but i still put my son in shoes for special occations or if they go with a certain outfit!), we to are getting ready to do spring/summer shopping %26amp; we're going to buy mostly 12mnths, just enough to get him started, because im sure he'll grow like a weed!!

as for your son, i'd probably get just 6-9 %26amp; 12mnths for the spring, and wait on the summer, babies change and grow so much its hard to tell!
Reply:I think, if there isn't one already, there should be a speciality shop for children who wear different sizes. I have a 17 yo son whose waist is still 30" but is almost 6' tall. For most of his life, his britches have fallen off, and his little arms have looked like scarecrows. Now that he's half grown, I have Lands End make them special for him. I wonder if they do that for babies...

TX Mom
Reply:my daughter is tall too, she was in newborn clothes only for 2 weeks. then she jumped to 0-3 til one month old. then 3-6 til 3 1/2 months and ever since she's been jumping one size larger. now she's 6 mnths and she's in mostly 9 months clothes butshe fits in a few 12 month clothes too. when i buy her summer clothes they'll probably be 12-18 months
Reply:I've heard around twice the age they are. so instead of 6 month, 12 month, instead of 9 month 18 month, and so on.

My daughter still is like that

She was out of 6-9 by five months

Around 7 she was around 18 months

My daughter had very long legs

She was able to fit 12 months on shorts sets

Does your son have a long body? Long legs? Both

I could use a smaller size in the summer, because of shorts

Her legs were long.
Reply:I am short but have a tall gene in the family. My boy just turned 8 months and he wears 12-18 months clothes and they just fit him right. If I were you, I wouldn't prebuy and just go as he goes. I had to learn the hard way.
Reply:My little girl is about 20 pounds and about 28 inches at 7 months and jsut starting to get into 18 month clothing. It is a little big, but the 12 month is getting small. Remember, it all depends on brand too. She can wear carters' 6-9 onesies, they're pretty stretched but we have so many in that size!
Reply:I agree 100% with Ja!

My Son is 5months and both sides of my family is short but, Noah "my son" is a little over 28inches long, %26amp; he is 20.8lbs. and that was from the going to the dr the 13th of this month.

He wears 9-12month pants, 12-18month tops/onesies, %26amp; wears toddler tobogans. Hes wearing 24month rompers right now...ehh.. He also cant fit into any baby shoes anymore we are now looking for a toddler shoe that is soft and light weight.

I wouldnt pre-buy anything. It seems to me that your son is about on the same track mine is. My Sisters baby is now 5 but my son is going through the same thing her baby did. He was an extra big baby, and is still taller and skinnier for now.

We aren't Pre-buying anything we are just buying as time goes by he is already starting to grow out of his 12month onesies so, I'm going to be sad when he grows out of the 24month onesies I got him =(

It sucks not being able to pre-buy for spring and summer because all the sales that go on and stuff. But, I just have no idea what to expect so, I guess for now we will just have to wait and see with both our babies =)

Good Luck!

Can you remove permanent marker from Crocs shoes?

My little 2 yr old girl has a cute little pair of bright yellow crocs. They are her favorite since she can put them on by herself. She got into a permanent marker though and dropped it when I walked in on her marking up the desk and it made 2 little dots on one shoe and a little tiny streak on another. I scrubbed these tiny spots all I could but it was no use.

I would just get her another pair but I cant see paying 30$ for a pair when the season is over now even though she loves to just wear them around the house. She will have out grown them by the time its summer again so I was going to put them up for my other baby who will be in them next yr. but hate that these almost new shoes are marked up now.

Does anything get permanent marker out of crocs?

Can you remove permanent marker from Crocs shoes?
Try Mr. Clean Magic eraser. It seems to get everything out for me. Even ink pens on the walls? Hopefully it may work. Or see what people use to clean there I cannot think of it but the plastic or heavy vinyl under there boats? or Goo Gone? Try magic eraser first. Or what do they use to clean white walls on rubber tires on cars. It gets off tar maybe it would the marker???? I am trying to help. I have a pair of crocs that my wife bought me.
Reply:If the surface was smooth enough tape can take it off, also try rubbing alcohol.
Reply:Try making a paste with a little oxy clean and water, put the past on, leave it overnight, and it should take the ink off.
Reply:Try some rubbing alcohol.:)
Reply:nope,

they're rubber
Reply:i've tried, it doesnt come out.. but you can buy very cheap knock-offs for $5 at Walmart..

i think the brand is No Bo. but i could be wrong

thats what i did.. they are the same thing, just not brand name

hope i helped.. ??

What shoes with a silver dress?
silver!

look at this: www.handbag.com/.../christinaagiuileramt...
Reply:silver or black i'd say.

can i ask where did you get the dress it sounds lovely and would like one myself
Reply:PINK CLOGGS
Reply:black.
Reply:Red would spice it up and you could have a red matching stole or handbag. Have fun and give babe a nice cuddle from me.
Reply:I would go for black!
Reply:silver heels! look in river island.

not only would they go with that dress but they look great with jeans and a top if you want to go more casual.
Reply:I would say either plan light silver strappy shoes or a pastel colour. Pastel blue, for example, could be coordinated with a bad and necklace for a bit of colour.

White might look a bity tacky though, so steer clear!
Reply:nice court shoes, you can pick any colour if you want to make a statement wear bold colour shoes and accessorise with the same colour bag, bangle or necklace
Reply:purple goes very well with silver! and it's less obvious, more sophisticated than red, and very new-season!
Reply:go different a black pair or a bright colour will zing the outfit up then add accessories or match up make up to that colour.
Reply:black!
Reply:sliver xx
Reply:black peep toe courts. like red or dead one's in schuh. they have them in black and white, so you could see which look best.

Reply:white
Reply:classic black stilettos are always classy (:
Reply:Silver sandals would look lovely.
Reply:Any colour - so long as you co-ordinate the bag, shoes jewellery and if using one, stole!!
Reply:I would try some nice red heels and maybe get a red matching handbag. Purple goes well too, but i seem to think Purple goes better with gold. x
Reply:Have a look on vivaladiva.com, They sell awesome shoes
Reply:red/black or white would all be safe colours which i'm sure all would look lovely!
Reply:Pearl grey or non-shiny black. You want to show off the dress, so the shoes should be understated.
Reply:Do not do silver and silver whatever you do. You will end up looking like a disco ball or the tin lady. Think of contrasts. I think a jewel toned purple open toed pump would look very nice, and compliment the silver in the dress.
Reply:Silver/gold shoes are really in right now. Can you find some silver shoes. Or send me a pic of the dress, I can find some.

7 months pregnant and trying to see what i need to buy for the baby?

i am 7 months pregnant and was wondering what do i need to buy for the baby. i already got the crib, bassinet, bathtub, wash cloths, clothes, shoes, bibs, bouncer, swing. i am gonna get the stroller and diaper bag on sunday. what else do i need to buy please give me a list please. and when i go to the hospital what can i use to bring the baby outfit and other things and also what do i need to bring to the hospital with me?

7 months pregnant and trying to see what i need to buy for the baby?
http://www.yourpregnancyplace.com/babyne...

This is a great pregnancy site, and it has a good list of things you need for your baby. Congrats on your pregnancy.
Reply:well you're definately going to need a carseat. but it sounds like you're pretty much set, other things may pop into your head later on, but right now i'd say you're fine. If you're going to bottle feed then i would say you need some bottles.

take the take-home outfit for you and baby, pajamas for you (perferrably a gown, if you don't want to wear the hospital one), some pads (but the hospital may provide these for you)...hair essentials (hair tie, brush, shampoo and conditioner) toothbrush and toothpaste, shoes (comfortable ones) maybe a blanket for baby...but other than that, you really don't need a whole lot and be sure to take the carseat.
Reply:Everyone is giving great suggestions so far, might I add you should check out Target.com. You can make an online baby registry. This registry is the best. You can type in if you're having a boy or girl, some color ideas your interested in and baam, it comes up with a whole list of suggested items for you. You can shop here for all the little stuff and the best thing about Target.com is the shoppers leave plenty of reviews. I didn't know what breast pump to buy, but after mad research I went with the pump that had the best reviews. It works wonderfully. Everything I got from Target, that had great reviews works great!

I don't know if you had your shower yet, but this would be a great time to stock up on all these things. Make your invitations and be sure to tell them you are registered here.

http://www.target.com/gp/browse.html/ref...

They also give you 10% off of any item that you have to purchase yourself off your registry.

You can check out my registry, just type in the first initials DA and last name King in CA
Reply:Babies R Us does have a good check list. Have you thought of safety items, like a thermometer, nose sucker, nail clippers, etc... They sell kits with all of that in it. You also need receiving blankets, burp cloths and onsies. You will go through a lot of those. Mittens so he/she doesn't scratch his/her face.

As for the hospital. They will only put the baby in a long-sleeve t-shirt with built in mittens, so if you want the baby dressed in anything else, bring some extra clothes. Then of course whatever you want him/her to come home in, as well as an outfit for hospital pictures if you want them taken. As for yourself, toiletries, robe, slippers with rubber bottoms. You can bring your own gown, but you will bleed a lot after delivery, so you might not want to ruin your nice gowns. Some women prefer to have them to wear when guests come though. Also, bring clothing that you would wear when you were about 4 months pregnant because that's about how big you will be after delivery. Don't expect to bring pre-pregnancy clothes and fit into them. A camera is a must! Also, a list of contacts so Daddy can make calls to everyone to share the wonderful news. The hospital I delivered at actually showed me how to properly put my baby in the infant carrier. She recommended using extra receiving blankets rolled up to help properly fit a newborn in the carrier. Therefore, I would bring a couple extra just in case. Best wishes.
Reply:Buy diapers/wipes and those lil baby essential stuff. You can never get enough of those. Use a diaper bag to put the baby outfits and other stuff you need to bring to the hospital. That's what I did. other people bring their small luggage or one of those BIG GYM BAG kinda thing.
Reply:Everyone named most everything but I will tell you that you will probably want to buy your own pads and some comfy (nontight fitting) clothes to the hospital with you. Postpartum is the worst!

Reply:I see a lot of people gave you a list. Make sure you have money for baby pictures at the hospital. A lot of people forget baby pictures cost around $80-150.00 dollars.
Reply:you need a carseat. thats the most important necessity probably get some blankets too....
Reply:Diapers. # 1 .

An outfit that is worn in this weather and easy to put on for your new born.. you might like a light weight robe , those one size fits all leave a lot to be desired. And something for you to wear home. And even though you've had a baby, your waistline probably won't be the same size as it was before . Comfort.
Reply:You pretty much got everything the baby will need. When you go to the hospital you will need to bring:

Nightgown, panties, slippers, toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, soap, shampoo, and something comfortable to wear home from the hospital. An oufit for the baby.
Reply:Other items you should have:

-Diapers

-Wipes

-Baby powder

-Rash cream

If your going to breastfeed then you'll want to get a Boppy (breastfeeding pillow) and a pump so you can pump and store if you plan on going to work or if you ever need a sitter you'll have milk ready. %26amp; some Playtex bottles with the "drop-in" liners, they are the best!!

For the Hospital:

Diaper bag full of some diapers, wipes, powder, clothes, mittens (to keep baby from scratching themselves because they will scratch at their face a lot!), socks, the Boppy if you plan to breastfeed, nursing bra and breast pads(get the breast pads even if you aren't going to breastfeed because your boobs will leak! %26amp; Blankets %26amp; Binkies!

You dont need much for a baby honestly and anything else you will need the hospital probably has, so just relax, sounds like you got the major stuff already!! Your good to go! Good luck!
Reply:Here is something I did for both mine. Look for sales on diapers and start stocking up, whether you intend to use them full time or not have a big supply on hand. I would say at least 10-15 boxes of the small size. I didn't have to buy diapers for 2 months after my kids were borm. They can be stacked in a corner of their room all the way to the ceiling and will not take up much space. I had a huge supply bought up for both of mine and it saved a lot of extra expense while I wasn't working when they were infants.

Also I love to have special little toys, safe ones of course, like a special rattle for their first toy. I still have my kids first toys and they are 25/35 yrs old.

I wish you pure unadulterated joy with this baby!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:You can go to americanbaby.com and it will give you an idea on how you should pack for the hospital. Baby registry sites give you an idea on what you should buy.
Reply:go to babiesrus.com and click the purple link at the top "buying guides" that will help u a lot.
Reply:ummm... it's been a while.

One way to see what you might need would be to stroll through a baby department in a store.

You didn't say you had diapers, cloth or disposable. Also the bottles and the equipment to sterilize them and prep the formula. You also didn't mention blankets to wrap the baby in and for the crib, and the crib sheets.

When you go to the hospital, take a single outfit for the baby in the diaper bag. Have a hat, shirt, diaper(s), booties or socks, and a bottle of water. Have a light blanket to wrap the baby in.

I wish you a healthy, happy baby.

Cleaning my tennis shoes.. Will this work?

I know that baby wipes pretty much clean anything but do u think they'll clean my shoes? I got them really dirty when I walking last night =(

Cleaning my tennis shoes.. Will this work?
baby wipes are great an if they aren't working try a little cif formally jiff on them........."cream cleaner"
Reply:I wouldnt bother. TO be honest, with trainers it wont really come off properly especailly if they are white. Why not put them into something such as a pillowcase and just wash them? Wash them on fairly low, and on their own so not to damage anything else or with boring things like sheets or towels and they will be fine. Wash them on a fairly low temp though otherwise they will shrink. They will come out looking clean as new. Good luck.
Reply:Are they leather? A little bit of nail varnish remover works wonders on a cotton wool ball, don't scrub too hard.
Reply:Washing machine mate. they test them in washing machines.
Reply:throw them in a pillow case then throw them in the washing machine on 30 degrees.

They will come out brand new.
Reply:Yes, I agree with the others......throw them into the washing machine. They'll come out like new.
Reply:put them in washing machine

Is it ok to wear high heeled shoes.?

i am 4 months pregnant and i am still wearing high heeled shoes. this is not my first pregnancy,in previous pregnancies i have always avoided high heeled shoes.but this time around i just feel like indulging myself and doing what i want to do with my life for once.is it okay to throw caution to the wind and continue wearing high heeled shoes.it"s not as if i wear them every day, maybe two or three times a week.is this okay ? or is it harmful to me or my unborn baby?.i want the best for my baby.

Is it ok to wear high heeled shoes.?
it's fine now, eventually your feet will swell and you might find it difficult to wear the shoes.

when you get closer to the due date, try to wear flats.
Reply:I dont really see that big of a deal in wearing high heeled shoes. The only thing that people may be worried about is during pregnancy a womans balance is off quite a bit and it might increase your risk of falling. Just becareful.
Reply:More power to you, I know I would fall/trip/turn my ankle. :)
Reply:It's fine Hun, just make sure they aren't big enough so that you have any chance of tripping. Good luck! :)
Reply:It's perfectly ok. May get a little harder to keep your balance in the third trimester, but as long as you can handle it go for it! I always wore heels when pregnant for special occasions and church.

Congratulations on becoming a mother again!
Reply:It shouldn't be bad for you. The only safelty problem I can think of is that as you grow, your centre of gravity moves and you might find yourself more unbalanced, but other than that, I think you should be fine.

As you said, it's not like you're doing it all the time, so have a ball whilst indulging yourself yourself, I mean, with the children you already have, and the one you're growing, I'd guess you'd need to do something to make you feel a little better :)
Reply:you can what ever you want on your feet as long as you are comfortable, I would just becarful when walking is all to make sure your don't trip or any thing. Iwore heels with all 3 on pregnancies when needed an all my kids are fine. Go for it
Reply:go for it. Usualy people dont because their feet and ankles get swollen. You are fine!
Reply:There are two problems with high heels and pregnancy. The first is that you are more likely to trip and fall. However if you have two left feet like me, you are going to do that flatties, heals or not!

The next problem is that heels tend to push your centre of balance forward, as does the bump that you are carrying. So if you start to notice that you back is aching more than normal, switch to you flat shoes.
Reply:Sure I did for quite a while but one day I had a lil spill (my balance has gotten bad) and everything was ok I'm normally very graceful and can even dance in my heels but not now!! Went to flats also my feet tend to swell when I wear my dressy shoes!! At least it's hot and I can wear my cute flipflops!! Congrats!!

Shoes or No Shoes?

When teaching a baby to walk (in the house) -- is it better to let them walk around barefoot? or is it easier for them to learn wearing shoes?

Shoes or No Shoes?
It's much easier to learn to walk barefoot, and kids should be allowed to walk barefoot as much as possible -at least indoors, but outdoors doesn't hurt either in many places like yard, park etc. A few quotes, much more in the source:

Udaya Bhaskara Rao and Benjamin Joseph. "The Influence of Footwear on the Prevalence of Flat Foot," The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, 74B(4), 1992

"In Europe and America flat foot is a common reason for attendance at a children's orthopaedic clinic, but in India children are seldom brought for treatment for flat foot. The few children who do attend with this complaint are from affluent urban families and they all wear shoes. In our clinic we have never seen a child from the farming community or from the family of a manual labourer who complained of flat foot.

...

The high concentration of flat foot among six-year-old children who wore shoes as compared with those who did not, implies that the critical age for development of the arch is before six years.

...

Our cross-sectional study suggests that shoe-wearing in early childhood is detrimental to the development of a normal or a high medial longitudinal arch. The susceptibility for flat foot among children who wear shoes is most evident if there is associated ligament laxity. We suggest that children should be encouraged to play unshod and that slippers and sandals are less harmful than closed-toe shoes."

From Take Off Your Shoes and Walk by Simon J. Wikler D.S.C. (Doctor of Surgical Chiropody):

"children who had the opportunity of going barefoot a great deal, had less deformed toes, greater flexor strength, more ability to spread the toes. They also had denser muscles on the bottom of the feet; greater agility than those who had never gone barefoot, with a wider range of hip circumduction and more flexibility of the gluteal and hamstring muscles, and therefore, more ability to touch the toes when the knees were held stiff."
Reply:if they are walking then the shoes are fine. IF they are still learning, most pediatricains dont suggest shoes until the baby can walk un assisted. My pediatricain, said it doenst hurt to put soft soled shoes on when they are learning. like grabbing furniture and walking around with assistance.
Reply:No shoes!

I have 7 children and have never put shoes on them until about 8 weeks after they start confidently walking. I strongly believe that they should be allowed to literally find their feet before introducing the constraints of shoes, it allows their little bones and muscles to develop properly before squashing their feet into often ill fitting footwear.

When you do get your little ones first shoes, make sure you go to a reputable shop and have their feet measured to get the right fit, their bones are still so soft, wrong fitted shoes can do untold damage.
Reply:My daughter is 7 months now, when she was 6 months I started to put shoes on her. She walks better with the shoes, she has more balance. If I don't put shoes on her she stands on her tippy toes, when the shoes are on she has more balance. My daughter is almost walking and she is only 7 months. It might be different for others, but I say YES!! To Shoes in my case.
Reply:Look how big he is getting!! Oh man that's so cool.

They say no shoes and barefoot as much as possible. They need to be able to feel the ground and learn footing. Shoes are only necessary once they know how to wallk. And shoes actually hinder them from learning how to walk cause they can't feel the ground as well to get footing.
Reply:Barefoot is much better as it allows the foot to form naturally. A Stride Rite salesman told my mother that my son *needed* to wear shoes because his foot was already wide %26amp; it would become double-wide if he didn't.

So then I buy my baby double wide shoes, what's the big deal, right?
Reply:I think it's best with no shoes around the house. In shoes they can get unsure without being able to feel the floor underneathe their feet. They'll naturally learn how to walk in shoes later on but like learning to just walk, it'll be clumsy until they get used to it.
Reply:by a shoe called robees you can get them at stride rite or other stores using different names-the are like a moccasin so it is like being barefoot. it has a leather bottom and is light weight than you have the best of both worlds
Reply:I guess either way can work. My mom put shoes on me and my brother and we started walking early. I didn't put shoes on my daughter and she was walking at 10 months. But we have hard wood floors so she used a walker too. Personally I say no shoes.
Reply:I'd say barefoot unless of course your outdoors. When we go out I put Robeez on her feet. They are comfortable and not uncomfortably rigid like some baby shoes are. (Not that she's walking yet, she's only 6 months old)
Reply:teach your baby to walk barefooted. it helps when there's nothing on their feet when they learn. just make sure that the floor is clean so that your baby's feet won't get dirty.
Reply:I was told no shoes. My daughter hardly ever wore shoes in the house. I only put them on her when going out. She learned to walk very well.
Reply:I think it depends. My daughter likes to be very energetic, I mean bouncing of the walls. She actually got a a lil sore on each big toe from moving around so much. I would say shoes for me LOL
Reply:Barefoot is best. I only started using shoes when my daughter could actually walk, when we went out somewhere.
Reply:barefoot....babies use their toes to grip. And the make shoes that are soft and great for baby. Robeez is one brand bobux is another...check them out.
Reply:barefoot
Reply:Shoes do offer support and may help them be more stable but it isn't something you have to do!
Reply:my babies learned barefoot. the shoes were only put on when they were outside or if we were going somewhere.
Reply:Barefoot! And let them go barefoot in public when they are bigger!
Reply:My kids never wore shoes until they learned to walk and then only outside.
Reply:i think it's best to be barefoot.
Reply:oh wow Landon is getting so big from that pic! anyways no shoes!!
Reply:My son learned to walk with no shoes

Is my baby toe broken, or just bruised. I need to know ASAP b/c I'm going to camp in 2 weeks?

Well, I just came back from out of town and i was unpacking yesterday when i tripped over my suitcase and stubbed my baby toe really hard on the handle. It hurt REALLy bad for the first 30 min, and now it is subdued. It doesn't hurt if i don't move my toe, and it doesn't even hurt to walk really. It feels a little stiff and awkward, it doesn't hurt unless something touches my toe. It is a little bit swollen on the lower part of my baby toe, but no discoloration. However, it hurts like Craaazy if i move my baby toe up, down, or to the side. I can wiggle it, but not all the way around. It feels weird in shoes so i'm wearing a flat-footed orthopedic shoe right now, and i've been resting, icing etc. But I'm really worried, because I'm going to camp in two weeks and its horseback riding and requires exertion. What should i do, and do you think that my toe will heal on time, and whether i should get it checked out?

Is my baby toe broken, or just bruised. I need to know ASAP b/c I'm going to camp in 2 weeks?
A doctor can not do that much for a pinky toe, as in splinting it. He can make sure that it's aligned properly though!

If you tape it, don't tape it too tightly; toes and fingers can be taped to the one next to it for support but always make sure you don't cut off circulation in such a thin digit, and don't push it too tightly to the one next to it or it'll grow crooked.

A good home remedy for bad bruises and small broken bones, as long as the skin isn't broken, is comfrey; take some of the root, grate it, put a little cold water on top and let it sit for a few hours, it should get a bit slimy. Then put the slimy stuff on the broken bone for example with a thin cloth or just tissue paper. The comfrey will help it heal and also if the cloth or paper is thin enough it'll harden as it dries so it'll give a little support as if it's a very thin cast. They used this for all breaks in Medieval times, today I'd definitely recommend a doctor for larger breaks but it's still good for these nasty small breaks the doctor can't splint much better even now.

It still takes a while to heal though, the first pain goes down pretty quick but it'll be several weeks before it's completely better. No matter what you put on it, bones take a while to grow back together.
Reply:You are doing everything right! but I would still check it out, go to the dr and they can do x-rays and give their opinion. It sounds broken to me, but im only a medical assistant and a nurse aide. When I was little i stubbed my pinkie toe and went to the dr a week later to find out that it not only broke my toe it fractured my foot as well. They put a cast on and 4 weeks later is was much better. I would go to the doctor if i was you! feel better! good luck and God bless!
Reply:The doctor will really do nothing for a broken toe if it is. It sounds like it could be broken or badly jammed. They both hurt bad. I KNOW I broke my big toe by stubbing it, it hurt like heck for 2 weeks really bad. Had to walk on the side of my foot. Then it hurt alot for the next 4 weeks or so. I still have trouble with it now and again if I'm on my feet alot. So all you can do is keep doing what you are doing and hope for the best. Good luck and take care of that toe!
Reply:I couldn't say whether it is broken or not. My suggestion would be to tape it to the toe next to it. That is what a doctor is going to do if you go to see one and it is broken. Sounds like you are doing the right things otherwise. Just take it easy on the toe until your trip, and you should be fine.

Baby has dropped and now i'm having pains....help?

i'm 34 weeks pregnant and i've been getting sharp pains on both sides of my lower abdomen. i was getting pains usually on my right side but now it's on both and more intense. today i have also noticed the baby has dropped and my belly isn't as high. it's easier to breathe but harder to put on my shoes. anyone know what is going on? and is this a sign that the baby is coming soon or is it just something that happens?

please:

thanks!

Baby has dropped and now i'm having pains....help?
For heaven's sake, contact your doctor. If you are pregnant and having intense pains, why on earth are you fooling around with Answers?!

This is not a smart aleck answer, it is sincere concern about you. And I do have a clue about what I'm talking about since I've been pregnant. So congratulations to you and your baby - looks like you may be meeting face to face soon. :)
Reply:I am 30 weeks now, with my 4th baby this is actually normal. You will probally have the baby in about two weeks happened to me every time. The pains are what they call braxton hicks contractions, which are false they are preparation for the real thing. You will definately know when it's time. Just be light on your feet and cosume a lot of water, the water will stop the pain.
Reply:Could still be weeks. At least you can breath now. If she comes now she will be just fine anyway. the pains are probably just stretching of the uterus. Good Luck! have fun the last few weeks.
Reply:This happens often during the stages of pregnancy. It could be a sign that your child is due soon, or it could simply be Braxton Hicks contractions. Always check with your OB if you are concerned.
Reply:you said only answer if you have a clue what you're talking about

i'm no expert this is just an opinion

but the baby dropping at 34 weeks sounds pretty early to me

the sharp pains are due to the baby having dropped

different women experience different things throughout pregnancy

and unfortunately for some, the baby's engagement into the pelvis is extremely uncomfortable and makes getting around much more difficult

the swelling of your feet probably results from the baby's pressure which is cutting off blood flow therefore making blood go to your feet slower so they swell

i would still ask your doctor about everything

and have them check to make sure your baby is in the proper position

because if he/she dropped and isnt in the right position that could be a problem
Reply:that started happening to me recently.. as I am 36.5 wks pregnant.. the sharp pains HURT!! huh? I was worried too, but it's completely normal.. it's nice to be able to breathe, too, but I'm not sure if it's a fair trade for the sharp pains..lol

but, from what I read, if this is your first pregnancy, the baby can engage, and then disengage again and go back and forth until birth happens.. so don't get too comfortable.. lol

edit:

oh and this is just something that happens.. YES it means the baby is getting ready to come, but it will still be weeks until you go into labor, I'm sure.. babies tend to drop a while before labor.

good luck and congrats!
Reply:I will be 39 weeks on Tuesday with my third. I know exactly what you mean. I am 3 centimeters dialated and impatiently waiting to go into labor. I think that the doctor will induce me at my dr. appt on Monday though. Anyways, the baby has now decended into your pelvis and has dropped. You may be starting to dialate now. If your braxton hicks contractions are comign on more then this is what is helping you to dialate before labor actually kicks in. I have a h*ll of a time with my shoes too, so most of the time i just tuck in my shoe laces! lol Good luck and congrats.
Reply:ask the doctor or mid wife. sounds like it might be on the way

I need help in findong out what shoes to wear with my dress?

ok i need shoes to wear i just dont know what color shoes to wear ok the dress is short and and black and the bottom is baby pink with black and im going to wear silver jewlery i cant decide what color shoes to wear or what kind of shoes to wear plz help me...

I need help in findong out what shoes to wear with my dress?
there are a lot of options depending on what kind of look you're after. Ballerina flats are cute and also comfy. Look for ones with shiny beads and stones. Wear pumps for a classy look. And if you're feeling extra sexy wear high heels or stilettos, for a sexier look wear one with straps.
Reply:rule of thumb is: YOUR SHOES SHOULD MATCH THE HEM OF YOUR DRESS OR SLACKS
Reply:If it is formal, real nice, fancy, where a pair of black stellto heels. If it is normal, casual, where black flip flops or those very very small heeled sandals.
Reply:I'd wear black shoes if the dress is predominantly black. Also, try a kitten heel. I try not to wear a high heel with a short dress.

I have a smelly foot problem, not the shoes, my feet, and socks, help?

I wash my feet, put baby powder, and all day it stinks, and when I smell the shoes they don't stink, but then I smell my socks, and they stink, I tried getting new ones and it doesn't work. And I play soccer almost everyday, so it may have to do something with that

I have a smelly foot problem, not the shoes, my feet, and socks, help?
Get a box of baking soda.

Take about a 1/4 cup %26amp; dump it in your shoes %26amp; leave it in there when you wear 'em.

Instead of baby powder, use the baking soda on your feet %26amp; in your socks, also.

Baking soda is frequently used to remove odors %26amp; it will not hurt your shoes or your skin.
Reply:try some foot spay it maybe is fungus
Reply:i have a friend with the same problem. One time, I had to bring her a clean pair of socks to mask the smell
Reply:Try using some rubbing alcohol on your foot after showers. Let it air dry and make sure if you take your socks off, you put new ones on. This should help with your stink. Make sure to disinfect your shoes. Generally I throw mine in the washer but you can use some clorox spray in them. Be sure to let them dry throughly before wearing.
Reply:I had the same problem once, but when I switched my socks to 100% cotton, I don't have any problems any smelly feet issues anymore
Reply:Foot odor is an embarrassing problem that many people suffer from. As soon as a person with foot odor takes off his shoes, everyone around him wrinkles their noses in disgust. If you suffer from foot odor, here's how to disguise the foul smell.

Step OneChange your shoes. Since foot odor is often enhanced by smelly shoes, one way to disguise it is to change into a new pair. The odor is likely to be less persistent. Open shoes are better at hiding foot odor.

Step TwoPour some baking soda into your socks or shoes. Baking soda neutralizes smells and also dries up any sweat that may be causing the odor.

Step ThreeUse an over the counter foot powder. These powders are sprinkled in your shoes and onto your feet. They help dry the feet as well as disguise any type of foot odor. Dr. Scholl's makes a particularly effective foot powder.

Step FourSpray an antiperspirant on your feet. The scent of the antiperspirant will mask the odor while also preventing the feet from sweating so much.

Step FiveTry a home remedy. Ginger mashed up and mixed with hot water, then placed on your feet will help disguise foot odor. Radishes can be used if you don't have ginger available.

Tips %26amp; Warnings

Although you can temporarily disguise foot odor, you should find a way to permanently get rid of the problem. Try wearing cotton socks and soaking your feet at night in a salt solution to treat foot odor.

If you can't find a home remedy to relieve your foot odor, speak to a physician about other methods that you can try.
