Where can I get Free baby Stuff...?

I'm 7 months pregnant, due on Nov. 21st and Expecting a boy. I just moved back to Brunswick, Ga about 2 months ago, We currently are very tight on money and need all the help we can get in recieving baby items. We already have a bassinet, swing, jumper, tub, shoes, clothes (could always use more I'm sure), bouncer, and misc baby toys. We still are looking for a safe car seat, crib, and whatever else can be helpful. Thanks so much. Rebecca

I think almost every church may be able to provide you with a few addresses. I'm serious. My sister was in that same predicament and they were quite helpful
Reply:Go to www.freecycle.org and sign on in your area. Baby things are constantly being offered, and you can ask specifically for what you need. There is never a charge. Everything on Freecycle must be FREE. It's a terrific resource!
Reply:I know that where I live in Maricopa County, AZ, the hospitals give out free new carseats, becasue they don't want moms getting used ones Like a helmet, if they've been in an accident, they are no longer safe, and you never know when you get one second hand.

I caution against buying a used car seat. You don't know how old it is or how safe it is. That is the one thing I would splurge and buy.
Reply::) I had the same issue a year ago. I have a local church that was wonderful for me and my family. Also I used freecycle.org- it's a yahoo group. Just go on and post what you need and check your email and generally things come up. Make sure when you get a crib if it's an older one that you check to see if it's recalled and measure the slats on it to be sure they aren't too far apart.
