Where did you buy baby clothes?

Every time my husband and I find out we are having a baby we set a little money aside to go buy clothes. Our kids get msotly hand me downs and sale items since we are a one income family, but we really enjoy setting a dollar limit (usually 50-75 dollars) for some really cute, fun outfits and shoes.

Do you do the same?

Where do you go?

Why?

Babies are the Greatest!

Where did you buy baby clothes?
when i feel like buying the more expensive clothes, i go to the carters' store, but still only when they have a sale.

other than that i do most of my shopping at target or walmart.

i have been going to the 2nd hand store more lately though, because my son is growing at an amazing pace and is in 18 months+ at 7 months, so i really need to find clothes the cheapest way! i think the one i go to is called "kid to kid" and its in the upscale side of the valley, so the clothes are all name brand like baby gap or childrens place. i love it there!
Reply:Goodwill. Youll always find great prices there!
Reply:well hand me downs are ok but if your on a budget the have cheap stuff in the childrens place for newborns
Reply:mainly at target and old navy, some at the gymboree outlet or carter outlet or Oshkosh outlet

but i buy the cutes $6 outfits at target, no joke i love it
Reply:ummm babies are us and carters has this great sael like once every other month where all there clearance is an additional half off, and most of the time its buy one get the second outfit 50% off... and the childrens place is the same thing, 30-50% off the mark downs
Reply:We usually just shop little by little until the baby is born and after. We shop at Target, Old Navy, and Burlington's becasue their all reasonable with prices. I also go to Kid's Rainbow, too they have decently priced clothes for babies. As the first responder said, Once Upon a Child is nice too, because you can alwasy find cheap but quaity second hand stuff.
Reply:i go to once upon a child....its used clothes that are in good condition for VERY cheap... its a great place...love it!
Reply:Most of my kids got hand me downs...I also hit up thrift stores (Baby clothes there are like cheap), I also tell my grandma because she is the "Yard Sale Queen" and she will send me boxes and boxes of clothes...I do this because baby clothes are so expensive and they grow out of them so quickly...And I can use the money saved on clothes to buy other things like diapers, wipes, and so on. I do save a little money to buy outfits for special occasions!

And you're right Babies are the Greatest!!!
Reply:You should go to Murvyn's. They have really cute cloths for a really cheap pries.
Reply:You can try TJ maxx they have suck cute things for so little $$$
Reply:If you want your baby to be Fresh from head to toe go to Rainbow store get some Rocawear,Coogi. Get him som jays or nikes.
Reply:When we buy baby clothes we go to Value Village or another thrift store (she just grows so quickly and clothes are expensive!), but when Grandma buys 'em she shops at Carter's. I don't know why Carter's, but Grandma loves it for the baby. Oh, and The Children's Place
Reply:Honestly once we found out we were having a boy, we searched online for great stuff. Settled on EBay for a box of 100 items for 65 bucks. It was great, now that he's here every time my husband gets paid we go out and buy an outfit for both our boy and daughter.

sometimes target is where i go.
Reply:we are also in the same shoes.. My hubby is the bread maker. We dont put money aside but we look at sales and EBAY! lol also we love Sears and Walmart!
Reply:I love baby Gap and Old Navy. The stuff is on the expensive side when it first comes into the store, but within a few weeks it is on sale. I got an adorable fall coat for $14 and a cute baseball shirt for $2.50 at Old Navy the other day. Personally I would rather buy good quality clothing on sale than go to a cheap place like Walmart or Zellers for it. Then when we are done with the clothes we can take them to consignment and actually get money back for them (sometimes the same amount I paid for them!).
