Can my smelly shoes be saved?

I have to buy new work shoes like every month because they get so smelly that you can smell them with my shoes ON! Luckily I fit into children's shoes so they're only about $5-15 to replace, but I have so many pairs of shoes that I really liked but can't wear anymore. I ran them through a commercial washer 2 times and they STILL smell when they're wet. I tried fabreeze and baby powder but they don't even last through a work day. I don't really have time in the morning to do all these old wives tales like soaking my feet in bleach and putting deodorant on them or anything so is there any way to save my shoes or will I have to continue to buy a pair every month?

Can my smelly shoes be saved?
Bicarbonate soda/ baking soda helps. Put some in your shoes and it will stop them from smelling. Also, try to wear socks if you can.
Reply:um theres this website that says freezing my shoes i havent tried it but ... yeah Report It

Reply:check the sites below. it worked for me. ^.^ i used to have smelly feet as well.
Reply:Try spraying Tinactin Antifungal deodorant powdered foot spray. You can spray it in your shoes also.
Reply:I haven't tried this but I read that if you stuff your shoes with newspaper that it will absorb the odors.

Good luck.
Reply:Two words: Odor Eaters.

They are insoles you put inside the shoes and they have charcoal in them. They completely cured my stinky shoe problem and they last a long time. You can find them with all the shoe inserts in the health/beauty aid section at the store.
Reply:Thats your problem, you are buying low quality shoes. the only shoes you won't have this problem with are naturally breathing materials like leather or suade.

spend the extra doe and get a good pair so you wont' get that problem
Reply:Take your shoes off when ever you sit down and let you feet and socks dry..

EDIT:

If you cant take them off at work take two pairs and change between them twice a day
Reply:What kind of shoes do you have? Tennis shoes, or shoes that are supposed to be more for looks? ..similar to these:http://www.sharplily.com/wp-content/0217...

I have the "flats" type of shoes, and they can get pretty smelly, cause they look better without socks. So once in a while I'll wash them. Sometimes I'll sprinkle baby powder on them. If you have these type of shoes, and don't wear socks with them, there is a type of sock that is made for these shoes, I got mine at Payless.
Reply:Yes you can save them when the better weather comes hang them on the washing line and let the fresh air circulate in the shoes.
Reply:Buy 3 to 5 pair of shoes (I'm serious) and rotate them. That way each shoe will have ample time to air dry before you wear it again.

At work are you able to kick off your shoe and wear sliders or sandals while working at a desk?
Reply:Laura...this deordorant works wonders on feet...

You simply wet the stone and apply it...

They sell it at the drug stores...

and no....all the washing in the world doesnt take out the smell once it gets in the shoe...dont know why?
Reply:Sprinkle baking soda in them every night when you take them off, this should help.
Reply:buy shoe deordorizer from sports stores... i use them for my volleyball shoes and they're great... they are about $7

good luck
Reply:Put them in the freezer. That usually make them better. Works for me at least.
