What do you say when someone shows you their baby and it is REALLY ugly?

My coworker showed me a picture of his 3-week-old baby and this "thing" is BFU!! (For those of you who don't know, "BFU" stands for "Bunt Funking Ugly" - or something like that.)





OMG I almost puked on his shoes! I really wanted to say, "Your baby is disgusting!" but instead of answering I just walked away. I couldn't help it but as I was walking away I started laughing hysterically. I hope he wasn't offended.





Do you think I should tell him? He seems so proud of this "thing" but maybe somebody needs to bring him back down to earth. I mean, what if he tries to enter it into a contest or something?





I'm totally serious - this baby is so ugly that anybody would call it a "thing"

I don't want to be mean or anything, really, I don't - but you could have used some common sense and lied. This is one situation where you can tell a little fib if you really think the baby is ugly. They can't help if they are ugly. Any parent who has a baby thinks they are the cutest thing. Just be nice and when you have a baby, it might be ugly to other people - but to you it will be the cutest baby ever. Put yourself in your co-workers shoes. Try to think how he was feeling when he created another person and then you laugh at the picture that he shows you. Please - don't think I'm being mean - but use some common sense...really...

And how could you even THINK of an innocent baby and "butt funking" in the same sentence. That's utterly disgusting. I suggest you insert a hose in your ear to give your brain a good cleanout. It needs it!

Put yourself in your co-workers' shoes how would u feel if someone said ur baby looks ugly? U would definitely be hurt to think that someone thinks ur innocent baby is ugly.





Most kids who are not so appealing in their younger yrs are usually the ppl we look at yrs later and say How can such a cute person exist.

Reply:all parents think their new babies are cute. It's something in nature so that they take care of the baby- even when it's ugly and screaming, ha ha. Seriously though, don't say anything about the babie's appearance. Just say congratulations- or "how exciting" or something like that and leave it at that.

If someone walked away from my husband laughing like that he probably would've socked them in the nose, LOL. Parents are proud of their kids, no matter how ugly they may be, and yes, he was probably offended.


It's not your business what he does with his baby pictures either. He doesn't need YOU to protect him from the jerks of the world.
