What sizes should i buy my new baby clothes, and diapers??

Hey everoyne, i am planning on going baby shopping in like another month, I was just wondering what sizes should i get the diapers, and what sizes should i get the onesies, and little outfits??

thanks so much.

Also when can i buy my new baby some jordans? or air force ones??

i know as a new born there is no need for shoes, but when will i buy them, i want my baby to be stylish and have the best of everything.

thanks so much!

What sizes should i buy my new baby clothes, and diapers??
Well first off congrats...In diapers i would recommend getting Newborn, but i would get enough to last awhile(but it depends on how big your baby is!)Most newborn diapers only go up to 10 pounds..U should get a 0 to 3 months, maybe about 3 packages of each..If you need more, then get them when the time comes..Because you never how big or small your baby will come!(mine was 3 pounds, so i had to get smaller sizes, than what i thought!)

I am a first time mommy too, and i wanted my lil girl to be so cute..But then i realized when she started gaining 1 to 2 ounces a day..That maybe i shouldn't have gotten all these preemie clothes, or these newborn sizes..A newborn really doesn't need to be wearing shoes anyways, socks are fine...If you wanted to get them some kind of jordan something, they have onesis, and socks with the jordan symbol on them..And nike makes cute outfits..But i wouldn't recommend getting a little baby shoes, because they grow out of them so quick..I would wait until they get a little older when they are starting to walk..Then you would want to get some shoes, that are good for walking, like stride ride...Jordans and forces are cute, but when they get about 6 or 7 months!!:)

Also you could never have enough burp cloths, and bibs.....=)
Reply:Dont buy manyt at "newborn" size as they will only fit a week or two! Also I always keep the tags on teh clothes and receipts until it is tiem for baby to wear them(or soon enough ahead to wash them). That way if baby is larger than expected adn you have too many of one size you can return them. We had loads of newborn and 0-3 months with both of mine BUT the smaller was 8 1/2 pounds so it reallyw as a waste!
Reply:come on! how old are you? what a waste of money to buy a little baby jordans! why don't you save your money and start a college fund?

get some newborn sizes, and some 0-3 months. get the newborn diapers that have the dip for the bellybutton.
Reply:It all depends on the size of your baby. Go by the last ultrasound weight.
Reply:start off with "newborn" nappies... if they are too small go the next size up..

i started with 000 outfits (im australian).. maybe buy a couple, see how big your bub is at birth, then if they are too small, get bigger ones..

My little girl had a few pairs of itsy bitsy shoes, but you can get some really nice soft ones, that dont really have soles, remember your baby has to be comfortable, thats most important/..

congratulations, shop to your hearts content!!!

can i suggest stocking up on the essentials first.. singlets, nappies, bibs (thousands of them)

baby wash, cotton buds, wipes etc etc
Reply:If you know the approx. weight of your baby via dr. appts. you can usually buy the 0-3 month and 3-6 month baby clothing, onesies and newborn diapers! I loved dressing my kids in the trendy baby clothes as well! This is one of my favorite places for the cutest and edgy baby clothes!
Reply:Buy the clothes in larger sizes, like 12 months and up. If you plan on having a baby shower you wil recieve ALOT of 0-3 months sized clothes. The baby grows out of these the fastest. If you want to buy diapers, buy the size 1 first and then go from there. But remember the hospital usually send you home with a few packs of size 1 diapers anyway so dont over do it!

As for the shoes. I think that would be a complete waste of money, never spend a fortune on baby shoes. Their little feet grow so fast they barely get a chance to really wear them. You are better off buying some cute shoes at Target or WalMart. Even Payless. You dont need shoes for your baby untill they start walking anyhow, and hopefull by the time your baby is around a year old you will have figured out your financial priorities.

Good Luck
Reply:I bought newborn and 0-3 month sized stuff.. i also got his nikes o-3 months cause he will grow fast out of newborn. i did the same with diapers and i kept the receipts just in case !! I feel the same way i bought nikes and polo onsie and baby clothes he's got to be stylish !!!
Reply:i put my first child in shoes all the time! but they cost way too much and do not stay on really well and are a waste of money. I bought them anyway and used them for my second child. they are cute for show but both of mine would only wear them for a hour because their feet would get hot LOL

buy only a few onesies, they grow out of them way too quickly. you kinda just need to buy as they grow which is way too fast!

makes sure you have some size 1 diapers and buy a few 3 to 6 months just in case the 0 to 3 do not fit when they are born ( my second son wore 3 to 6 one week after he was born.)
Reply:size newborn are you sure your ready to have a baby?
Reply:congrats on the baby. iam due in about 3 weeks and i have bought my baby newborn diapers and also size one diapers since they don't stay in them long, also before you leave the hosptial ask for some diapers and formula they normally will give that to you if you ask! onesies depends on what brand you buy, some say 0-3 months others say small or ex small. same with the clothes! if you want buy some from garage sales or second hand since they grow soo dang fast! as for the shoes they say barefeet are the best for growing feet! but i know they are cute! so i guess whenever you want to spend the money on shoes go for it. i know my kids don't get the "nice" shoes until they begin to walk, the other times they are in socks or barefeet. good luck with your bundle of joy
Reply:Congrats! My son was 7lbs 6oz and following everyone's advice I didn't have an newborn outfits because they were "a waste". I had to run out and get some on day 3 because the 3-6mo was way too big. I say have a few newborn onesies and sleepers (3-5 each) so you're not shopping the first week. The best shoes for babies are Robeez. They have elastic ankle so they stay on and fit for a long time. They also come in a bunch of different styles to match every outfit. Very cute. Also - there is a company that makes hand made bibs, receiving blankets and burp cloths in funky patterns (including camo and skulls and cross bones) at MausWear.com. Good luck
Reply:i would get one pack of newborn diapers and 2 packs of size 1

(pampers of course)

and i would get only a couple clothes that are newborn

and the rest size 3-6 month

best of luck and i dont think ur stupid for wanting shoes i put shoes on my child when we went out from 1 month on

buy the shoes whenever u want just dont keep them on when ur home put them on when ya go out
Reply:Having the best of everything can be expensive, I hope you are financially prepared. Kids can fit in an outfit one month and grow out of them by the next. Literally. I wouldn't buy many small things because the baby will get big fairly quick (in less than 2 months say). If you need newborn diapers, I would start with one, MAYBE 2 packages. They will probably be in a larger size of diaper before you even have a chance to use all of the newborn ones.

If you buy bigger clothes, the baby can wear them longer. Just don't buy so big that the kid can swim in it. Everything really depends on the brand you buy because different companies have different ideas on sizes. You might buy something for 3-6 months that wouldn't even fit a newborn. It will all depend on how big your baby is when he/she is born. Whatever you buy, keep the receipts! You will need to return stuff if it turns out to be too small.
Reply:If you can afford nice things for your baby, then by all means, get whatever you want. Don't listen to people who tell you otherwise. They just have a different idea when it comes to parenting and providing. My baby boy is due in Sept. and I already have a closet full of clothes for him, ranging in sizes from 3 months to 12 months (everything from Carter's to Ralph Lauren, and leftover Baby Dior from my first baby). As for the shoes, I am not sure what is the smallest size available for Jordan's, but I know that Nike makes little crib shoes that are cute.

I didn't buy any newborn sizes for this baby because my firstborn was 10.4 lbs when he was born so he outgrew newborn sizes right away. With this one, I have bought 3 months as his newborn size and so far he has everything he will need for the first 9-12 months.

As for diapers, the newborn size is great because it has the little opening for the umbilical cord. But I have only been buying size 1, as I will just fold over the top till the cord falls off.

Have fun!
Reply:In clothes i would get a few outfits in 0000 - but get quite a bit of 000 aswell...they grow super fast !!! Get newborn in nappies, he/she will be in them a little while...so get a few boxes.

I bought my little one a pair of nike shoes, he was only 4 months....they fit great. So maybe buy 00 in shoes, usually thats as low as they go. Good luck, shopping is always so much fun !
Reply:wow sorry people are being so rude. i wish i was in your shose and can buy all that stuff for my baby. right now im struggling so she will be getting the basics. anyways i was told get a pack of newborn diapers and see how big they are when theyre born . bcause they might outgrow the diapers right away.. get some newborn onsies and all that and then get some the next size up.
