How do I find out what size shoe my baby wears?

I bought her this cute little pair of Nikes and they are to big for her. So, I am gonna take them back but how do I know what size to get? Do they have on of those little foot measuring things for newborns?

How do I find out what size shoe my baby wears?
Take her to a CHILDREN%26#039;S shoe store and let them size her properly. They are pricey, but you don%26#039;t have to buy if you don%26#039;t want to, but they will get a good measurement of length and width.
Reply:If your baby is a newborn they shouldn%26#039;t be in a pair of Nikes, hard soled shoes had been linked to poor foot development in kids under the age of 2. You should go with a soft soled shoe (like Robeez, Pedipeds, Shoo-shoos) instead. Target sells an off brand that is roughly $12 a pair. My daughter had one pair of the Target brand that lasted her from 4 months to 17 months (they were size 6-12 months.) Soft soled shoes last a lot longer too (on babies that are just learning to walk.)

You can go to Stride Rite and they%26#039;ll measure baby%26#039;s foot (they also sell Robeez there.)
Reply:If your baby is a newborn, it doesnt really matter if the shoe is too big as it%26#039;s just for fun anyways. Only till they are up on their feet does it matter I think, that%26#039;s when you want to have them professionally measured (at a children%26#039;s shoe store) and find some nice, flexible, well fitted shoes.

Especially Nike%26#039;s, you lace them up so they should stay on well even if too big. You will be so amazed at how quickly they grow.
Reply:I went to try to buy a pair of shoes for my new nephew...the lady said I could measure the bottom length of his foot...if I wasn%26#039;t planning on bringing him in the store to try them on. She said she could go by the measurement.
Reply:the store should have the measuring things even for newborns.
Reply:Newborns usually don%26#039;t need shoes for their tiny tooties. However, Pay-Less is a reasonable store with a relaxed/ casual atmosphere, and they have a good section of shoes for infants. Bring the baby-carrier or baby-stroller with you, as it is difficult to hold the baby and try shoes on her little feet at the same time, especially if she is awake %26amp; active- go to the infant shoe section of the store, then you can look throught the sizes as well as the styles. It is just a matter of trying the little shoes on her tiny feet %26#039;til you find the right fit %26amp; style that you%26#039;re looking for. The smallest size that I remember seeing is a Double 00. Like I%26#039;ve said, newborns often in the 1st 3 months of their little lives really don%26#039;t need shoes, just comfy baby booties to keep their little feet warm. It%26#039;s still all right if you want to get her a pair. She will outgrow them quickly though.
Reply:You can actually go on-line to most stores that have baby shoes, stride rite and such. You can print out a paper copy of a foot measurer, just to keep handy. I use mine all the time. For friends babies and such that way you don%26#039;t have to take them to the store if you don%26#039;t want to.

Here%26#039;s one in particular you can try out:

Good luck!!
Reply:i think all you have to do is go by how old they are then go to a baby store and tell them, they will help from there.

Reply:yes they do u can take her to the store and they can measure her foot like they can measure yours but make sure u get them like a size 2 big so she wont grown out of them in a month
