Should I buy something for her baby?

I have a cousin of mine who never bought me anything growing up. I never really thought much about it because it%26#039;s really up to that person, but she%26#039;s never shown any other way of showing generosity to me. When I was little, she treated me kind of bad, not all the time, but she just always gave me attitude and the whole family attitude. A lot of times, you can say she%26#039;s a bit......beechy. Anyways, she currently is pregnant and when she has her baby, should I buy something for the baby? I keep thinking of all those times she%26#039;s treated me horribly. If you were in my shoes, would you give the baby something?

Should I buy something for her baby?
well...it%26#039;s not the baby%26#039;s fault the moms a b*tch,no offense, but if you wanna be the bigger person then go ahead and get a gift and if there%26#039;s no appreciation then give up or confront her about it, maybe there%26#039;s a secret reason why she acts like that. My cousins are like that too so I gave up on them and we haven%26#039;t talked for close to 2 years, it%26#039;s sad. But if you see no point in being nice to her then don%26#039;t,maybe one baby gift is enough for the new family member if the mom acts bad.
Reply:If she%26#039;s just your cousin I%26#039;d say don%26#039;t worry about it...I never got any of my cousins gifts for anything...especially if her mom is a .....
Reply:being the bigger person is always a good thing! I would buy her something u dont have to spend alot jsut something to show ur congrats
Reply:The baby isn%26#039;t her. If she continues to be rude after having her child and doesn%26#039;t treat you any better, keep her at a distance and socialize only at family gatherings. Having children usually changes people for the better when it comes to family and relationships.
Reply:Tough one. Can you afford it? If so, than you should buy the baby a gift if you plan to visit it. Even if it is a small gift.
Reply:I know it%26#039;s hard but you just have to leave the past in the past and don%26#039;t come down to her level buy her baby something but don%26#039;t over spend then she might think twice about what she did in the past
Reply:you will love her baby no matter what so don%26#039;t hold anything against the baby because of his or her mom go ahead and be the bigger person and buy the baby something.
Reply:i would buy her something. it doesn%26#039;t have to be some big extravegant gift, but get something for the baby and hope that the child doesn%26#039;t turn out mean like its mother.

but, keep a close eye on this cousin of yours... motherhood seems to work wonders on people.

Reply:I think you should because even though she hasn%26#039;t been the nicest to you, you should. If you really don%26#039;t want to you could always think of it as buying the baby a present instead of her.
Reply:yessss deff what did the baby ever do to you!!! just make sure you cut of the tags and dont give a recipt bc if she is that kind of person she will try to return it for cash.

people these days!!!!
Reply:i would get something small. maybe an outfit or something. just try to forget about the past and move on. maybe having a child will make her a better person.
Reply:i have a friend just like this!

well...she aint my friend anymore.

stuff being the %26#039;bigger person%26#039; who takes notice of that anyway?

ive learnt that people never get involved and stand by the person doing the right thing anyway.

dont buy the baby anything, cut ties with her and try to forget about her totally so she can never hurt you again.

good luck!
Reply:I am sortve in your shoes... same situation and NO I am not buying her anything. She didnt even come to my baby shower- her mom did though. So My mom is going to her baby shower.. So I am leaving the buying up to my mother...

I know your thinking of the baby... But this shower is sortve for her... so.. yeah...
Reply:yea, i think you should... it would be like an olive branch between you...

Reply:Probably not. But since your asking, you must care somewhat. So, just get something cheap. Get a pack of onesies or burp cloths or a cute chew toy thing. Nothing major.
