Why do they put skulls and bones on little girls shoes......?

I went shopping with my baby girls for shoes... So many at least six pairs of tennies for little girls had skulls and bones on them, why do they do this?





And B, would you want your child wearing these? I am thankful my girls do not like them period! Just curious as to what other parents opinions on this are?

They use whatever is hot in Hollywood to sell things. The pirate stuff is big right now. I wouldn%26#039;t buy them for my girls.

Reply:I saw a cute pair of pink ones they don%26#039;t bother me nearly as much as the weird looking polyester blend Carol Brady outifts the they r marketing for my 6 year old.

I think it is just cheap chinese crap and who for that matter would buy clothing with BUM on it from Scuz-Mart there...that is just as horrid...best thing to do is complain to the store so they will think twice about buying it and at least report the dislike at thier managers%26#039; meetings where they can collectively decide to carry a line...or NOT.





I%26#039;m not one to be dictated to by the market...never was...never will be...you don%26#039;t like it don%26#039;t buy it. On a T-shirt maybe...but on everything from bras to underwear...give me a flippin break.

I have a pair of Rocket Dogs with skulls and hearts. I think they are really cute. =)

Reply:its everyones personal style, and at the moment skulls are in. some people just like them although you consider it to consider death others might just see them as being cool. if i had a daughter i would get these for them compared to a pair of white sneakers with a bow. its just my personal style,

edit: ok, the symbol doesn%26#039;t mean death, and it%26#039;s not TRASH, as you say. if they want to wear it, good. i hope they rebel against you. what makes you think that if they wear skulls, they won%26#039;t succeed? that%26#039;s just hypocritical. what children go through? children go through MUCH worse than wanting to wear skulls.
