I'm thinking of making my own baby and children's clothing. Where can I get some basic patterns etc.?

I want to start designing my own clothes, but I would like to start with some basic pattern designs. Does anyone know where I can get some free baby bootie, shoe and outfit patterns? They only have to be basic. If I can%26#039;t find them for free, I have no problems buying them.

Try the sites below. Or go to the library, they have basic patterns in lots of how to sewing books. you may also want to try knitting and crochet patterns, they are good ways to learn about construction and sizing for babies, who have big heads and weird proportions. lol have fun!
Reply:I think that the best thing would be to go to a local fabric store. Hobby Lobby or Joanns and buy you some of the new simple patterns they sell. If you local wal mart is still selling patterns they have them and they are soem really simple ones to get they have them on display next to the pattern cases not in the cases.

good luck
Reply:most fabric shops sell patterns, but you cannot SELL the garments you make...you can use them for guidelines ONLY.
Reply:walmart and ebay
