What are pram shoes?

What are pram shoes?

What are the best shoes that you like for baby going out and starting to pull up?

What are pram shoes?
Pram shoes or crib shoes, are normally soft, unformed shoes, usually for little babies that match the outfits.

Since your son is starting to pull up on things, and taking steps soon, I would invest in some soft soled shoes. New research is saying that soft sole shoes are best until baby is two years old.

Look at some of these:

My daughter is 13 months and has shoes from all these brands. I really like them and they stay on my daughters feet.

BTW: Those gap ones are cute, but I would think that they would fall off if he is in the shopping cart or stroller kicking his feet.
Reply:pram shoes are like booties in that they are soft soled but styled to look more like a shoe.

Proper shoes with a hard sole shouldn%26#039;t be worn until they can take at least 10 steps unaided. People still want to dress the babies in shoes and trainers to match outfits and that is what pram shoes are for. My daughter had adorable t- bar they were shiny so looked like patent leather in black and then pink embroided flowers on to go with all her dresses she also had trainers to go with all her jeans and tracksuits.

EDIT - these say rubber soled which implies a hard soled so would say no unless your son can walk 10 steps unaided. You can get the pram shoes that look like that but have a soft material sole so will look better with the outfits when you are out and about.
Reply:I have a pair of baby vans my son wears when we go out. He LOVES them. He can take steps in them fine (he doesn%26#039;t walk but he takes steps). He always pulled socks off, and it%26#039;s just too cold for bare feet.

I heard that the soft shoes are the best, (they are made of thin leather and do not have a hard sole), but my son kicks those off so fast.
Reply:little booties and shoes look beautiful on babies but you%26#039;re quite right- they can be more hassle than they%26#039;re worth and often end up falling down/off or in my daughter%26#039;s case...ending up in random locations around the house!

Socksies with gripper soles/bobbles on the bottom are cosy and practical too, helping baby to grip more onto hard floors, if you have them.

Trainers with velcro fastening have also proven their worth to me. Lace-ups often come undone and annoy me, but velcro versions are quick to put on and take off and when done-up tight enough, stay put!
Reply:bare feet. socks with grippers on the bottom. NO shoes, most shoes don%26#039;t bend properly, and give babies more trouble thanthey%26#039;re worth.
