Has your baby ever latched onto someting that he shouldn't have?

My mom had a rubber shamrock pin on yesterday, similar to the Jibbets (sp?) that they put on Crocs shoes...baby went right for it!

What about your lil%26#039; ones?

Has your baby ever latched onto someting that he shouldn%26#039;t have?
Before Halloween I had a big pumpkin sitting on the floor in the kitchen. My daughter eventually decided to play with it and then she seemed to decide that it was a big boob and tried multiple times to latch onto it. It was absolutely hilarious and I took lots of pictures, I am going to traumatize her as a teenager with them LOL.
Reply:My daughter is almost 8 months old and she still does this! She%26#039;ll latch on to anything she can get to her mouth, buttons on my shirt, my knuckle, whatever! The funniest thing was when she tried to latch onto my husband%26#039;s nipple when he was holding her without a shirt on. (his chest is not very hairy) I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes! :)
Reply:For some reason my baby likes the little white tags that be on stuffed animal toys.
Reply:My baby latches onto everything that gets near his mouth. STILL! lol and he%26#039;s 8 1/2 months old. His rooting reflex is still so strong too.
Reply:My daughter latched on to my first husband%26#039;s nipple when he was holding her barechested once when he was about to feed her....

Yeah, the look on his face when she started trying to eat was priceless...
Reply:everything! well be sitting in the couch with our feet up and shell come over all nice, like she wants to play and then shell grab our shos and try to eat them. she also tries to put everything oon the floor in her mouth, or prety much anything next to her mouth
Reply:Yes! It%26#039;s awful isn%26#039;t it? Both of my kids were such grabbers. We never seem to be quick enough.
Reply:My second loves latching onto noses. My first tried Daddy%26#039;s nipple a few times and got this look like %26quot;Ewwwwww what%26#039;s with all the hair?!)
Reply:my son latches on constantly to my husbands neck. That%26#039;s when he knows its time to hand him off to me for a feed.

Its weird, he%26#039;ll suck on my hubby%26#039;s neck but takes awhile to take a paci. go figure.
Reply:Ha ha when Sophie was tiny she%26#039;d latch on to ANYTHING! Daddy%26#039;s chin, Mommy%26#039;s nose...the funniest was when she was 3 months and I took her in the shower with my younger sister and me. Karen held her so I could wash my face, and Sophie tried to nurse on her!! We laughed like maniacs! :)
Reply:I was giving my daughters a bath together and my 7 month old tried to latch on to my 5 year old. She just laughed and said nope, that%26#039;s not going to work baby! I was cracking up. She has also latched on to my husband but the chest hair threw her off. I told my husband if he really loved us he%26#039;d shave his chest and be my stand in for comfort nursing!
