Where might my 2yr old have put my flipflop? He has a baby shoe ######!?

Lol, this child takes off his shoes and loses them at daycare or anywhere. He Lost 2 pairs at school then one pair at the mall this weekend. Yes, I put lace ups on him but he gets them off. This is a real problem. Now he has hidden one of my flip flops and I need it. Any advice?

Where might my 2yr old have put my flipflop? He has a baby shoe ######!?
I feel your pain!! LOL... I have 2 yr old twins . We%26#039;ve lost numerous shoes at stores, parks, etc. I don%26#039;t have solution on how to keep the shoe on your toddlers feet. What works for me is to keep a pair of shoes in my van. I only put them on the kids when they will be walking in the store. Once we get back in the van, I take them off their feet. If I put them in the stroller, I do not put the shoes on them as that is when they tend to fall off. In regards to your missing flip-flop....try looking where you keep your pots and pans, the kids toy boxes, their closets, school bags and your laundry.

GOOD LUCk!
Reply:Look under the couch
Reply:idk maybe he doesnt remember where he placed it?
Reply:When my son was in daycare (yes he also went believe it ornot, does that make me a terrible mother, haha!) I saw that the other kids had duck tape on their shoe laces to prevent them from taking it off. i don%26#039;t know what you would do about flip flops though. How can the daycare lose your child%26#039;s shoes!?
Reply:Check the trash can and the toilet
Reply:did you find your shoe yet? i can feel your pain, my son is always running around with one of my shoes, i have a closet full but non seem to match i am always in search on a pair. try in his room, under his bed, in his closet, toybox, lets see... i have found mine on the back porch, in the yard, under furniture, in laundry baskets etc... happy hunting if it hasn%26#039;t turned up yet.
Reply:my two year old hid my husbands hair brush about 6 months ago and we still can%26#039;t find it. my guess is, it went in the bin!!!
Reply:Sounds like the little guy needs some activity. Try giving him a toy shoe (like a dog squeaky toy or something) sounds silly I%26#039;m sure, but maybe he needs something to keep his little mind busy.

Put your shoes in a closet if he can%26#039;t open doors yet. If he can open doors, put them up on the shelf so he can%26#039;t reach them.
Reply:My 3 yr old did this to me with my work shoes one day. I finally founf them in his pillow case. Good Luck!!!
Reply:Make a game of finding it. Pretend your shoe is playing hide and go seek and you two need to look for it. Look under the couch and ask, is my flip flop under here? Nope! Guess I%26#039;ll look under the table, is it under here? Nope! Now I%26#039;ll look under the bed.....etc etc. We did this when my kids lost their toys, and they LOVE to be the one to find it. So chances are they%26#039;ll remember where they left it and race to get it. Just ask him where he thinks the shoe might be hiding and where he thinks you two should look next. That way he gets involved, has fun, and actually helps you look for your shoe. Good luck!! =)
Reply:Tell him to go get your other flipflop and if he doesn%26#039;t tell him to get it or your going to take something from him. Sounds like the kid needs to learn some respect and find out what punishment is. Also, you can tie his shoes tight enough and in enough knots that he can%26#039;t get them off. Your making excuses for him. It probably pisses off his teachers that he takes them off and you come up with excuses too. Stand up and be the mom.
Reply:your 2yr old goes to school??? un hun
Reply:I%26#039;m with flamingo, make a game out of finding your flip flop. As for him losing his shoes, take him shoe shopping and find a pair that he likes. If he picks it and it is comfortable, he may not want to lose it.
Reply:Tell him you%26#039;ll give him a prize if he finds it.
Reply:1.whenever shoes arent nessecary, dont have him wear them.

2.put YOUR shoes in your closet on a hanging shoe rack or a shelf

3.have him take them off at daycare and have the teacher watch him
Reply:My 2.5 year old likes putting my shoes behind the radiator and in his toy box. Happy hunting
